The second test site is located in Apulia and is constituted by he coastal strip stretching from Torre Canne to Rosa Marina largely falls within the territory of the Regional Park of the Coastal Dunes between Torre Canne and Torre San Leonardo.
The coastal landscape here is characterized by two dune ridges separated by a current interdunal zone, which is partially cultivated and includes a plain with Salicornia species and wetland areas. Due to the valuable natural features that this coastal area still preserves, it has been designated as a Site of Community Importance (S.I.C.).
